Action figure Paint?

The reason your figure is still sticky, is because you used an enamel paint, which has a chemical reaction to some plastics.

You must use acrylic paints. I just use Plaid paints which you can get at any Michael's or Wal-Mart (in the crafts section). They are cheap, and work just fine.

yep, ANY acrylic.
I usually use Folk Art, Ceramcoat, DecoArt...
however, I do have a bunch of paint-by-numbers acrylics that work great, although you don't get a lot of each colour.
some neat shades though.
good for eyes, and small details.

I love Citadel, but they started discontinuing some of my fave colors like Bile Green which translates to a perfec 'Necro Green.
EQ managed to get me a couple bottles which I now use very sparingly.

I use that $1.99 acryllic you get at Wal Mart.

acrylics work great, get yerself a nice sealer too, and some "eye brushes" (small tipped brushes used for paint dolls and such)

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Try using Scorpion green with a after wash of yellow ink. It gives a nice touch!

But yes... acrylics. And wash the figure with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly (to remove oils from fingerprints, etc.) and then use a spray or brush-on primer. Then paint, then seal with a matte spray, or if you prefer, a semi or full gloss (matte recommended). Thin coats for each stage.

Some plastics, like models, it's ok, but not recommended on figures, especially softer plastics. Testors makes an acrylic paint called Testor Acryl, but I prefer Citadel Colour, Game Color by Vallejo, or any of the other aforementioned acrylic paints.
